Step by step
Your 15-minute practice
0–3 min
Rehearse every stop
- Walk each route and finish inside the stop zone.
- Check the next lane before rotating.
3–7 min
Complete reaction round
- Start only on the direction cue.
- Accelerate for three to five steps, then decelerate.
7–11 min
Complete change-of-direction round
- Add one controlled turn at each station.
- Stay low through the turn.
11–15 min
Finish two quality rounds
- Count only repetitions with a clean stop.
- Take a full recovery break between rounds.
Remember
Three player cues
- React on the cue.
- Stay low through the turn.
- Fast feet, controlled stop.
Avoid these
Common mistakes
- Guessing before the cue
- Running through the stop zone
- Rotating while the next station is active
Keep the same purpose
Adjust the challenge
Make it easier
Shorten every route and remove the reaction cue for the first round.
Make it harder
Add an opposite-direction cue while preserving one active player per lane.
Keep it safe
Use flat cones, clear one-way rotations and full recovery breaks; stop when players cannot decelerate safely.
