Step by step

Your 15-minute practice

  1. 0–3 min

    Build the starting shape

    • Set feet, relaxed grip and balanced trophy position without a ball.
    • Finish each shadow motion facing the target.
  2. 8 tosses · 4 min

    Toss and catch

    • Make eight gentle tosses into the same contact window.
    • Catch with the hitting arm extended.
  3. 7–11 min

    Serve from short distance

    • Use a smooth action towards the large target.
    • Reset feet and grip after every attempt.
  4. 16 serves · 4 min

    Score sixteen serves

    • Count target serves with a balanced finish.
    • Aim for eight successes.

Remember

Three player cues

  • Start balanced and relaxed.
  • Toss into one comfortable window.
  • Swing smoothly towards the target.

Avoid these

Common mistakes

  • Throwing the toss far behind the head
  • Gripping too tightly
  • Trying to add power before the serve reaches the box

Keep the same purpose

Adjust the challenge

Make it easier

Move closer to the net and use a foam or red ball with the full service box as target.

Make it harder

Move back gradually and alternate deuce and ad service targets.

Keep it safe

Only one server swings in the marked area; the helper stays behind the racket path and balls are collected after each set.
